“Once Saved Always Saved?”

When we hear the phrase once saved always saved, as Christians, we should cringe. The Bible teaches clearly about a "falling away". Paul addresses this multiple times in his secon letter to the Thessalonians (2 Thess. 2:3) and his first letter to Timothy (1 Tim. 4:1). John Calvin taught this concept in his theology under the topic persever-ance of the saints. The Bible has other instances where saved being separated from God because of sin happens. Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8; Peter in Galatians 2; Paul wrote later in Galatians chapter 5 about being separated from God in Gal. 5:4 "You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace." Another passage to take one to to refute the doctrine of once saved always sdaved is 2 Tim. 4:10 and the account of Demas. Calvin's theology fails to take in to account all of what scripture teaches about the subject of being saved and it is our responsibility to properly educate the lost  on what ALLof the Bible teaches about this and every subject. God bless us in this effort to bring the lost to Christ.
