“He Who Has An Ear, Let Him Hear”

There is a phrase used 7 times in the book of Revelation. That phrase is "he who has an ear, let him hear" A similar version of the phrase appears in Rev. 13:9 "if anyone has an ear, let him hear". The idea behind this phrase is that if one has the ability to comprehend then one needs to hear the truth of the words just spoken. What Christ was trying to accomplish in chapters 2 and 3 in Revelation is to remind the churches of what they needed to be and for these to correct their errors as needed. There is a need today for both saint and sinner to "have an ear" for God's word. The sinner needs forgiveness and it can only come through Christ and an understanding of the written word of God. The saint needs to continue to "have an ear" for the written word of God and mold their lives to it and do our best to teach the next generation about the gospel and what needs to be done to be pleasing to God. To serve a loving God is a wonderful thing. To be saved from our sins by a loving God is a wonderful thing. Lete us all have ears to hear the word of God and share it with those who need to hear it. God bless us in this effort!
